Perry Julien is a photographer based in Atlanta.

As an artist he is drawn to the spontaneity and immediacy of the photographic image.  He began photographing music as a teenager in New York, shooting bands such as Led Zeppelin, Yes, Emerson Lake and Palmer and Crosby Stills Nash and Young.  He now shoots live music for artsATL.org and has had his work featured in SPIN, PASTE, Crawdaddy, the Backstage Beat and other national publications.   He has photographed almost 2000 live music performances. Although the music genres that Julien photographs are very diverse, his artistic vision remains the same – to capture a moment that reflects what the artist is trying to say musically.
